Pandemic Works: MOCHA
During the Covid-19 Pandemic, many businesses were shut down completely. Arts-based community centers took their share of the hit— and many did not survive. During this time, I volunteered to create logo animations for the MOCHA museum in Oakland, California in an effort to help them reduce operation costs while still advertiseing events and activities as they returned from shut-down.
Mocha offered so many out-of-doors (masked) events to the public at this time to help support the deep need for kids to remain engaged while doing home-learning, and getting word out was paramount. Crafting these animations for them pro-bono was one way I felt I could help in their efforts towards connectivity and community learning and engagement at the time.
